St. Anthony of Padua

The building of this church was truly a poem to God, written in stone.

The construction of St. Anthony of Padua Church was completed in 1920. It is believed to be patterned after churches typically found in Bavaria. Our church is registered as a National Historical Landmark under the original parish name of St. Bernard’s.

The interior renovation, which was done by parishioners themselves, took four years and was completed in 1985. There were over 20,000 volunteer hours donated in those four years. Seating capacity is 1200. Population of Hoven is 522.
